Yes, we accept donations! Our funding is from volunteers, both active and inactive, along with members of the community who support our literacy work. LCS also gratefully accepts funds from several grant makers, United Way donors, and Combined Fund Drive donors.

We are independent of state and Federal funding and therefore free to respond to the adult learners' needs. Individuals who are committed to the on-going work of LCS are encouraged to name Literacy Council of Seattle a beneficiary on a bank account, CD, or bond. It can be done easily with your bank signature card. A bequest in your will could ensure the continuation of our work.

In this 40th year of promoting literacy in the Seattle area, LCS is still green and growing because of the energy and commitment of people like YOU.

Your donation to LCS is usually tax deductible as we are a registered non-profit organization. We will gladly acknowledge your donation with a receipt including our tax ID number.
