Tutor Reporting

The Literacy Council of Seattle maintains a record of hours devoted to teaching and lesson planning, as well as hours volunteered to the organization as a whole. This information is reported to ProLiteracy America, our national affiliate, and potential grant makers and supporters.

We ask that active tutors report monthly on paper calendars, via email, or by phone:

  • Student(s) name
  • Student(s) starting level
  • Hours in direct tutoring
  • Hours spent preparing lessons
  • Hours spent in travel
  • Completion of proficiency level
  • Student achievements
  • We recommend that tutors ask students to maintain a portfolio of work as part of ongoing evaluation. Please submit articles or writings to be considered for publishing in "Sharing Voices" student newsletter.
